On November 1st, 2018 the Innovative Cancer Institute, founded by Drs Beatriz and Marco Amendola, treated its first patient using their new Varian Halcyon Radiotherapy System. This machine is the first of its kind in Florida and exclusively located in the South Miami office of ICI. The Varian Halcyon system represents not just an evolution in cancer treatment but a revolution in advanced clinical treatment of cancer that’s not been witnessed before.
The system enhances virtually every aspect of image-guided volumetric intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and will help to expand the availability of high quality cancer care globally and help save the lives of millions more cancer patients.
