On October 25th Dr. Beatriz Amendola and Dr. Allie Garcia-Serra visited the Telemundo HQ in order to spread education and awareness to the women who work for the Spanish Language Media Network. They were hosted by Adamari López, host of Telemundo’s morning show Un Nuevo Día.
Together they discussed both personal stories of Breast Cancer as well as educating the group of women on how to detect, prevent and treat Breast Cancer. Treatment options ranged from Radiation Therapy using the prone position, to Lumpectomy and mastectomy options, and chemotherapy and immunotherapy. We also included myth busting some common misconceptions of Breast Cancer.
